Steps in the Enrolment Process
At IBSPL, we understand that every family and every child is unique, with individual needs, expectations, and aspirations. Our dedicated Senior Leadership Team is committed to guiding and supporting families throughout every stage of the admissions journey.
As a truly international school, welcoming pupils from four different nationalities, we take pride in creating an environment in which every family feels valued, understood, and warmly welcomed into our growing community. We are firmly committed to the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection, and place the wellbeing, safety, and welfare of every child at the very heart of school life.
Your journey begins by contacting us at office@ibspl.ro or by completing the enrolment enquiry form on our website. Once we receive your enquiry, we will be pleased to arrange a meeting, either online or face-to-face, in order to better understand your family’s needs and to introduce you to the ethos and values of the International British School of Popești-Leordeni.
We warmly welcome children from 18 months through to Year 2, with the understanding that the school reserves the right to place each applicant in the year group most appropriate to their age, assessment, and educational suitability.
Families are invited to experience the welcoming atmosphere of IBSPL firsthand. Where appropriate, we may also arrange a trial day, offering children the opportunity to experience the school environment, meet teachers and peers, and gain a sense of daily life within our community. We believe this is an invaluable step in helping families make informed decisions, while also supporting a smooth academic and social transition.
As part of the admissions process, a set of mandatory documents will be required. These will be sent to you by our Admissions team via email, and we kindly ask that they be completed and returned promptly. Should no places be available for your preferred entry date, your child will be placed on our waiting list, and we will contact you as soon as a place becomes available.
Once all admissions requirements have been met, the enrolment decision will be communicated within 7 working days of your child’s Trial Day. If your child is offered a place, you will be invited to set up your Kinderpedia Parent Portal account, choose your tuition plan, set your GDPR preferences, upload any outstanding documents, and review and sign the Enrolment Agreement, which will be sent to you once your portal has been activated. In order to confirm your child’s place, the first month’s fee must then be paid.
As places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, we strongly encourage families to complete these steps promptly in order to secure their child’s place.
